TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27, DAY OF PRAYER & FASTING

PRAYER EMPHASIS:  "BECOMING A C4 COMMUNITY"

PRAYER FOCUS:  BECOMING CONTINUATIVE

CONTINUATIVE DEFINED:

1.  An uninterrupted connection, succession, or union

2.  An uninterrupted duration or continuation especially without essential change

3.  A resumption after an interruption

Synonyms:  abide, endure, hold (up), hold on, keep up, last, persist, run on

Related Words: linger, remain, stay, stick around, tarry

CONTINUATIVE DEVELOPED:

1.  Being continuative implies a beginning.  You cannot continue something
     that has not been started.

2.  Being continuative is an attitude more than emotion.  We may not always
"feel" like moving forward or fulfilling our duties.

3.  Being continuative means we get back on the journey if for any reason
we did become sidetracked or lost.

4.  Being continuative is the ability to see beyond our time.  We think and
do things that will outlive our lives -- Sowing what we may not reap.

CONTINUATIVE DISPLAYED:

1.  Being continuative is intentional.

2.  Being continuative is investment.

3.  Being continuative is indefinite.

See Hebrews 12:1,2  Jesus did what He did "for the joy that was set before Him"
He knew that what He was doing that day would have a continuative effect upon
all humanity.
